mxddi3:

ok so MLK was protesting in Birmingham, Alabama and as you should know, this was during a time of racial inequality. Anyway, he had been arrested, if i'm correct, by a few white clergymen, for his protesting and when he was put into jail, he wrote a letter stating his thoughts. in his letter, he informed everyone about what had been going on in these protests in Birmingham. His hope was to encourage his supporters to break these laws because it is their duty. He wanted to continue his plan of racial equality without violence. did that help any or do you need more explanation? here is the actual letter so you can have a reference: https://www.africa.upenn.edu/Articles_Gen/Letter_Birmingham.html

THEER545m:

thank you
