if the atomic number is 12, what does the nucleus contain?
Any Answer choices?
6 protons and six neutrons 6 neutrons and six electrons 12 neutrons and 0 protons 12 protons and 0 electrons
Electrons aren't in the nucleus so it can't be b
This element is magnesium and it has an atomic mass of about 24

I'm looking through my notes
I'm thinking D personally because The atomic number is the number of protons in the nucleus of an atom.
Atomic number = protons, and neutrons = mass-protons
So if the atomic number is 12, there are _ protons
Beat ya to it, Ramen haha :) jk
