unicornquenn71:

Which of the following fractions is in simplest form? 6/20 8/14 9/16 15/35

mxddi3:

ok for all of those, if the numbers are both even, then they are divisible by 2, i alr told you this

mxddi3:

then, find the factors of each number. if they have one in common, divide by tht number

mxddi3:

so 6/20 both of them are even, so start with dividing by 2. this means it's not in simplest form

Angelwolf:

9/16 because all the others can be divided by 2

mxddi3:

8/14 they're both even so same thing

mxddi3:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Angelwolf 9/16 because all the others can be divided by 2 \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) 15/35 can not be divided evenly by 2

Angelwolf:

true but that's literally what you said to divide by two

mxddi3:

anyways, for 9/16 they dont seem to have any factors so this is an option and for 15/35 the GCF of them is 5, so it is divisible meaning it is not in simplest form meaning 9/16 is correct

mxddi3:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Angelwolf true but that's literally what you said to divide by two \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) if they were both even i said to. neither 15 nor 35 is even....
