Write an improper fraction using the following criteria: • an improper fraction • the value is between 5 and 10 • the denominator is 4

justus:

I will help you with half of the fraction: \[\frac{ ? }{ 4 }\]

justus:

Since it is asking you to have a denominator of 4.

Imagine:

This question is simple

Imagine:

All it's asking to do is make sure it is over 5 and less then 10

Imagine:

So in that case, It can be 6/4, 7/4, 8/4, 9/4.

darkknight:

@Imagine the second part says that the value is between 5 and 10, not the numerator So in mixed number form the value has to be between 5 and 10, which we can convert to 20/4 and 40/4. So they have to make an improper fraction between 20/4 and 40/4. \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Imagine So in that case, It can be 6/4, 7/4, 8/4, 9/4. \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) will not meet the criteria.
