Strong references from credible people - ethos is strong.
-This is where getting jobs that might not pay well but give you a data point of having worked somewhere is good. Gives you credibility

A CV Letter
-Sometimes people ask for a CV, but even if they don't it can help set you apart. A CV is a cover letter, and it basically entails telling the employer why your resume is perfect for them. Show your value and they will want to hire you.

All in all, don't come off with an ego, just a humble guy who knows what he's worth, and can bring something to the table.
