jordynwillman:

Which of the following controls the loudness of a sound? wavelength amplitude frequency

jordynwillman:

is anyone going to help me on this question?

supie:

yeah sure hold up

MrMudd183:

I believe it's frequency. If it's the shorter wave pitch, it'll be higher...and vice versa

MrMudd183:

If the frequency is slow, then it'll be a lower pitch. If the frequency is fast, the pitch will be higher

supie:

You sure mudd?

MrMudd183:

Yea

MrMudd183:

With that image, the top wave will have a higher pitch. The bottom wave will have a lower pitch

supie:

You can get in trouble for copying from another website @bigboybilly

supie:

@MrMudd183 Maybe it is frequency but I thought it was amplitude.....

MrMudd183:

Amplitude could imply for the volume or the amount of energy it takes. Take a guitar for example, some can do more amps than others

XxDeadxX:

Mr. mudd is wrong

supie:

Yeah, thats what I thought.

MrMudd183:

It's been a while, and that's what I was thinking it was. It could be right though, never know

XxDeadxX:

The short and faster is the highest

MrMudd183:

True but depending on the wave itself is also a factor

supie:

But the correct answer is amplitude right?

MrMudd183:

That's what I'm thinking

supie:

Yeah same.

supie:

No.

supie:

Also, thats a direct answer.

ToxicaDennisIce:

o ok

supie:

Yeah.
