Xavier sells homemade necklaces for a profit of $22 per necklace. He is considering switching to a new type of pendant that will increase his profit, as expressed by the function y = 29x, where x is the number sold and y is the amount of profit. How many more dollars will Xavier earn on each necklace if he switches to the new material? Explain how you found your answer.

CourtneyWatson:

he will end up having the number of money that X is timed by. basically if X=10 he will end up with 290= Y. while if X=10 then he would of ended up (with the older material) with Y=220. then do the math when you minus 290 by 220. that number is then simplified to 29 - 22. what does that equal? that's your answer.

jakfishman:

7?
