queen123p:

Martha estimated there were 93 marbles in a jar for a contest. The actual number of marbles in the jar was 115. What was the percent error of Martha's estimation?

queen123p:

it was wrong it was 19.13%

jimthompson5910:

The error is 115-93 = 22 Divide this over the true amount to get 22/115 = 0.1913 which converts to 19.13% when you move the decimal point over two spots to the right.
