Jasonm:

this is a random question, but if x = 12, whats 3x-5+(-23)

darkknight:

substitute the value of x in the equation first

darkknight:

Then simplify from there, lmk what you get

mcSqueaks:

I explained in Dm's

supie:

You will have to plug in 12 for every time there is X so 3(x)-5+(-23) would turn into 3(12)-5+(-23) 36-5+(-23) 31+-23 =8 I think

Jasonm:

close Supie

supie:

Close?

Jasonm:

srry, i thought it said 7

Jasonm:

you're right

supie:

No, it says 8.
