I understand that everyone likes to engage in conversation here. That’s a good thing. We enjoy seeing our users cooperate and connect with one another, especially via asking/answering questions.

However, 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 for students around the world.
That’s what each subject on QC is for. There’s a place for any academic question you might have where you can receive help if you’re having a bit of trouble.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧; 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐬.
But you might ask- what sort of topics can I ask in this subject? What are appropriate questions to ask?

Here’s a list of accepted and unaccepted things for this subject, just for anyone’s future reference.

𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒅:

- Academic questions that are NOT included in the existing subject list (Driving, Law, etc.)
- Commending a user on reaching a SmartScore milestone. This should only be applied to those who have reached a higher level- such as 75 or 90, blue and green respectively.
- Friendly debates that aren’t associated with the current subjects list.

𝑼𝒏𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒅:

- Questions that are not academic in nature, such as ones that take a quick Google search. These are considered spam, and will be taken down. Thus, it's best not to post anything such as these. Please note it makes the situation worse if you reply to it saying "ummm" or "this isn't academic". Simply report it, and let the moderators handle it.
- Conversation starters/topics, such as: “How is everyone doing?” Please leave these in the provided global chats.
- Drawing/Edit requests: these mainly go in the Art subject, but please do not overdo/abuse this permission.
- Feedback or questions about QuestionCove; these belong to the QuestionCove Feedback subject. They have to be genuine questions that pertain to the site, not its users.
- Personal matters/Vents: These may go in the public chats. We feel for those going through hard times, but it is important that the site stays organized. You can also head on over to a trusted user’s dm if you need to vent about a personal situation. This includes seeking a partner through any subject.
- Video Chatting Requests/Links, Social Media links: QuestionCove directly does not tolerate either of these on the site, so needless to say, they don’t belong in Misc either. They will be taken down ASAP and you will be warned if done, followed by more severe discipline if insisted.
