When the United States Constitution was written, which compromise was reached by the authors to gain the support of the states with small populations? Five enslaved persons would be counted as three free persons for the purpose of taxation Congress would consist of both a House of Representatives and a Senate. The President would be selected by the direct vote of the people. Exported goods could not be taxed, but imported goods could be taxed.

you most likely already have a question open in that subject : ) anyways, so we can eliminate options C and D because they don't really match the concerns. Now the smaller states were worried about not getting equal representation in the government. now from this, do you think it is A or B?
also, option A is known as the 3/5 Compromise and option B is the Great Compromise. the Great compromise was to solve the dispute between large and small states on account of the Virginia and New Jersey plans. It was their way of meeting in the middle
Option b?
