so they took the greatest common denominator and divided the top and bottom number to get the answer

This part? \[\cos^2\theta=225/189\] \[\cos(\theta)=15/17\] So basically what happens here is that 225/189 is square rooted, basically how if you square root 9/4 and you get 3/2, the same way cos^2(theta) is square rooted to get cos(theta)
