SaltTheLoser:

Feudalism was a social hierarchy system which began between the eight and tenth-century C.E in which land was given for exchange for security and labour. For example, a "lord" or "king" would give a strip of land for protection and they would be taxed with a portion of whatever the subjects crop was raised there.
