ramen:

Yes that is the one

Aqual:

ill try to help, havent read it since 8th grade lol

ramen:

lol alright thanks, the question is Who acts heroically in this story? but I can't find anyone that does.

lizzie777:

ive just read that story a couple weeks ago

ramen:

Fr? Nice

lizzie777:

is there answer choices

ramen:

No there isn't we just have to write about it.

lizzie777:

oh ok

lizzie777:

well i have put for my assigment was Tess Hutchinson but for all of the fact that she's the victim of the lottery, her death is almost incidental to the process of the story. It's the foil for the villagers' self-defeating quest for group coherence: they murder one of their own every year so that those who remain can bond over the event.

ramen:

You got the question of who acted heroically?

lizzie777:

so she was kinda a hero but since her death was incidental there will be no hero in the story

ramen:

Ohh ok, so she was the hero for a bit because she called out that it wasn't fair?

Aqual:

i see no protagonist

ramen:

Same, ig Tessie was a bit of a protagonist tho and the antagonist was the lottery

lizzie777:

correct
