Can someone explain to me why my Smart Score keeps going up and down???

Most likely the spam posts that you've replied on, as they are being deleted, your ss lowers from those posts.

Try answering and helping out a user with their academic questions, and it will surely rise; and it won't lower that way. :)

That would not be the reason; the coding updates Ultrilliam is sending out dosen't affect the ss algorithm atm.
