YourMom33:

No its HW is a overdue assiment

Timmyspu:

Ok so what do you is a wrong answer?

Timmyspu:

know*

KjSaif:

Ok so since it's a 3:4 ratio, and the 24 is the "3" out of the 3/4 ratio. What's 24 divided by 3?

YourMom33:

I don't know. This is new to me. Honestly, I think it is 8

YourMom33:

I think the right answer is 32

jhonyy9:

ratio 3/4 nickels to dimes

jhonyy9:

24 nickels to how many dimes ?

jhonyy9:

why is 32 right ? do you can explain it pls ?

KjSaif:

Mom (lol) since we now know that 8+8+8 is the "3" in the 3:4 ratio. Do you have an idea of what the 4 is?

YourMom33:

Nope

KjSaif:

ok so to find this. You basically use the same method you used to find the first part of the ratio.

KjSaif:

since we did 24 divided by 3

KjSaif:

we got the 3 from the "3":4

YourMom33:

ok

KjSaif:

thats how we found that 8 + 8 + 8 is 24 which is also the 3 in 3:4

KjSaif:

so now we do the same thing for the 4

YourMom33:

I'm confussed

KjSaif:

what number in the choices divided by 8 = 4

KjSaif:

8 divided by 8 is 1. which is not correct.

KjSaif:

6 divided by 8 would go into decimals

KjSaif:

but 32 divided by 8 = 4

KjSaif:

see how it starts to come along?

KjSaif:

8+8+8+8 1 2 3 4
