can someone help
to find slope you have to begin by plotting both points. then you you count how many you go (or down but if its down then the number is negative) and how many numbers you go to the right (or left but if its left the number is negative) you write this as rise over run. then you would simplify the fraction if needed and that will be the slope.

Well first off we need to get the slope slope= y2-y1/x2-x1 slope= 8-0/1- (-7) slope= 8/8 slope= 1 Because we see that the slope is equal to 1 we can get rid of the 1st answer Equation= y=1x+b Next we need to find the y intercept To do this we substitute one of the points into the equation: 0=1(-7)+b 0= -7+b +7 +7 7=b Now we have to slope and the y intercept so we have our equation y=1x+7 this is also equal to y=x+7 Using this we can see that C is correct but just to make sure we have to check B and D For B we have to plug the coordinates into the y and x in the equation: -8=1(-1)+7 -8=-1+7 -8=-6 Because we see this is not equal we can get rid of B This just leaves us with D To find the x intercept we need to plug in 0 for y in the equation: 0= x+7 -7 -7 -7=x We see that both C and D are true so we have to use how they state it to find the answer So unless this is a multiple choice answer I believe that D is correct because in C it does not state which 0 they are talking about.
