Hmm, so a difference that we can see would be like hoe the democrats seem to be making more policies that support the social services. For example, Democrats feel that abortion should be allowed for women, whereas the Republicans think it should be illegal. Republicans are more likely to want to spend more of things like the military, whereas the Democrats are more likely to want to support things like increasing SNAP benefits. Democrats support things such as Medicaid and social security, but the Republicans--not so much. Then a party's platform is there and it tells the things this party plans to do. It outlines the things they wish to change/address. It really helps the voters see what they can look forward to if this candidate is elected.
