there's i think 2 variations on it i believe. They points are like, they represent the seven deadly sins i'm pretty sure, which is why it is a star with 7 points. The candies and fruits inside of it represent like, their union with God. It's their reward for "fighting the sins" (because they have to beat the pinata until it bursts open)
