that because of the founder thing there is less genetic variation and because of the drift and things like natural disasters part of a species die and then the variation from the alleles the dead species had are no longer there which cause a lack of genetic variation

it can effect small populations largely but the impact is typically smaller with a larger population. and it can effect the evolution because of the amount of genetic variation that gets passed on and things like that.
