darkknight:

you know the product of a and c and sum leads to b rule?

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @jackiejackiejack oml jj how much question do you haveee lmao \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) idkkk its a worksheet :/

darkknight:

for example if i have x^2+2x+1 so we will have something like this (x+?)(x+?) right?

dontsaymyname:

I guess :/

darkknight:

to find what goes in those question marks, you have to write the equation in standard form, lucky u it already is in it ax^2+bx+c

darkknight:

so now in the case of x^2+2x+1 1 = a, because x^2 = 1x^2 2=b and c = 1 Now we need to find 2 numbers that add together to b and multiply together to the product of a and c

darkknight:

so what 2 numbers multiply to the product of a and c (which is 1 times 1) and add together to b (which is 2) Please no spam replies ty

darkknight:

@dontsaymyname still here?

dontsaymyname:

Yesh, I'm still here, I was trying to understand you're logical explanations, but Jackie did help me, thank you both, no need to be snappy towards each other :)

dontsaymyname:

Yes, its (x +1) (x +2)

darkknight:

yeah u got it for your problem, good job

dontsaymyname:

Thank you :)

By "better" I mean "more systematic".
