Jennaofcbaby:

Supposing God exists: can God create a stone that God cannot lift?

Laylalyssa:

If he created it then why would he not be able to lift it?

Laylalyssa:

@supie

supie:

Well, technically he can...but....he wont... God can do anything really.

OriginalGangster:

God is Real

OriginalGangster:

That is that

OriginalGangster:

if he wasn't real we wouldn't be here rn

Shadow:

A limitless being creating a limit for himself is a sort of paradox. By definition it seems impossible to me.

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Shadow A limitless being creating a limit for himself is a sort of paradox. By definition it seems impossible to me. \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) So if he wasn't real, U wouldnt be here rn

Shadow:

You could say that lends him a limit, but is it a deficiency to not be able to create deficiencies for yourself? Sounds more philosophical at that point but within the confines of objectivity, I'd say no.

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Shadow A limitless being creating a limit for himself is a sort of paradox. By definition it seems impossible to me. \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) the answer would is.Making a stone that is so heavy that it cannot be moved is logically possible. Therefore God, being omnipotent, can make a stone so heavy that it cannot be moved. But if God makes a stone so heavy that it cannot be moved, then God cannot move it.

Shadow:

I think you misread what I said OG

Shadow:

But omnipotent means all powerful. A quality of that trait is that you can't be limited. Therefore the paradox you reach when he creates a heavy stone. At the end of the day, he would in theory be able to lift whatever trial he created.

Jennaofcbaby:

yes it does mean that but the thing is if he creates it that where he cannot pick it up and it's too heavy for God to pick up and he cannot pick it up

Jennaofcbaby:

and The Rock would have more power than he does so that's why he would make it for a challenge

Jennaofcbaby:

I'm going to close this now cuz I don't want to keep it on going
