Kyky232:

Triangle ABC is translated by the rule (x + 1, y + 1) and then dilated by a scale factor of 2 centered at the origin. Which statement describes the properties of triangles ABC and A''B''C'' after the transformations? ∠C and ∠C'' are congruent after both the translation and the dilation. ∠C and ∠C'' are congruent after the dilation, but not after the translation. segment AC and segment A double prime C double prime are congruent after both the translation and the dilation. segment AC and segment A double prime C double prime are congruent after the dilation, but not after the translation.

dontsaymyname:

We can remove options C and D, so which answer do you think is correct?

Kyky232:

I was thinking b... but im really not sure

dontsaymyname:

Well that is close, but the correct answer would be A because Translated figures are congruent ones but also similar figures have congruent angles and different sizes, hence the scale factor of 2, hopefully that makes sense :)
