Marsden:

foolghost14:

@MrMudd183 can you help or @jhonyy9 can you help? I don't ever do this before

jakfishman:

ok jhonyy croect if im wrong the first you cross what when doing the 4by4

jakfishman:

also your not bothering us

jhonyy9:

yes i think it the same - like a first step you need check what you get after this translation of 4 units to the right and after this what result than translate it 4 unit up

Marsden:

Ok, s 5,8 r 6,6 t 5,7

jhonyy9:

@jakfishman why not ?

Marsden:

Right?

jakfishman:

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @jhonyy9 @jakfishman why not ? \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) nvm

jhonyy9:

how you get these coordinates ? s 5,8 r 6,6 t 5,7

jhonyy9:

yes are correct

Marsden:

Im so sorry, i just joined my class on zoom, can i tag you all later for help

jakfishman:

you can tag me if im on

jhonyy9:

so these coordinates points are correct secure but for you can understand it more easy and to get these lines so you need draw these points with new coordinates

jhonyy9:

yes of cors than i m online you can tag me

jhonyy9:

@jakfishman do you agree this my above wrote idea ?

jakfishman:

yea completely bc visuals help alot

jhonyy9:

yes of cors @Marsden ok ?

jakfishman:

also helps checks your work

jhonyy9:

yes

Marsden:

Marsden:

@jhonyy9 AND @jakfishman

Marsden:

Is that kind of like what you wanted

jhonyy9:

yes this is correct but now check please what maybe these lines between you get this by reflection and translation

Marsden:

Im sorry, that was confusing for me

jhonyy9:

ok i will try it step by step so there is now this new figure what you ve get after this reflection and / or this translation and now you need figure it out what are these lines across you reflected and/or translated this first figure to get this new

Marsden:

yes, i understand that, i do not understand how to figure out what lines i reflected over

Marsden:

Sorry, never mind I get it

jhonyy9:

@Elsa213 can you please explain it more understandably ? thank you in advance

jhonyy9:

really ?

Marsden:

I think so, I did not notice that there were options when you click on the blank, i can just do process of elimination, thank you

jakfishman:

would it not be the origan

jhonyy9:

@Marsden have you get it really ? do you understand it now ?

Marsden:

Kind of, i'm sorry, how do you find out the line that it is, like line y=x+6, how do you know where that line lies.

Marsden:

I can put it in desmos as a function and it does for me, but I wont have that on my exam so how do I do it using my own mind, if that makes sense

jhonyy9:

@Laylalyssa any idea here pls. ?

Marsden:

Im sorry

jakfishman:

wait is this a test or exam?

Marsden:

it is a practice test that i'm taking to prepare for my final exam

Marsden:

EOC, whatever you want to call it, I have part one tomorrow and part two Wednesday

jakfishman:

eoc? but ok

Marsden:

sorry, i'm stressing and not making sense. Thank you for trying to help.

jakfishman:

its fine its not bad that you need help we just try to figure out the problem with you

jhonyy9:

how i ve said above pls try check and get these lines across reflected and/or translated you will get the new figure in this way will get the needed coordinates points of these lines and so using them you can write standard equations of these lines hope now this is more clearly and understandably
