TheyAd0reTay:

Each square on a grid represents 1 unit on each side. Calculate the slope of graph D.

TheyAd0reTay:

TheyAd0reTay:

Can someone please help me with this question. The graaph is the attatchment.

Timmyspu:

Ok so what is the first thing we have to do.

TheyAd0reTay:

you have to look at the graoh i guess

TheyAd0reTay:

graph*

Timmyspu:

Yes and what kind of slope does it have?

TheyAd0reTay:

im not sure.

Timmyspu:

What direction does it go in?

TheyAd0reTay:

It goes diagonal kinda

TheyAd0reTay:

Upwards and to the left

Timmyspu:

What kind of slopes are there?

TheyAd0reTay:

I wasnt taught that yet im in 7th grade

TheyAd0reTay:

Ive been needing help with this subject but the way my teachers explain it doesnt make sense to me

Timmyspu:

There are positive negative slopes and in your case yours is negative because if it is left and looks like its going up then it is negative but if its positive then it would be facing the right and going up. So hopefully that helps.

TheyAd0reTay:

ok thank you.

Timmyspu:

No problem! if you need any more help just ask.

TheyAd0reTay:

ok

Timmyspu:

Can you close this or do you still need help?

ramen:

What did you exactly get for your answer? Just checking

darkknight:

hmm, this is a starter, but slope is rise over run. Take a segment of the line,' we see that it goes down negative 3 units for every 1 unit to the right.' So slope is rise over run or -3 / 1 in this case so slope is -3
