In Jewish law, marriage consists of two separate acts, called erusin or kiddushin, meaning sanctification, which is the betrothal ceremony, and nissu'in or chupah, the actual Jewish wedding ceremony.

The original Jews spoke Hebrew. The Hebrew word for marriage is בָּעַל. It literally means "to marry". There are different kinds of Jews. Because the Bible says the following:

Ezekiel 36:19
“And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.”

The chosen people of God, the biblical Israelites were scattered among the other nations. Now the problem is, not all the people who claim to be Jews are the true Jews. How do we know this?

Revelation 2:9
“I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.”

Revelation 3:9
“Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.”

You see, not all Jews are God's chosen people. Some of the people among these groups who claim to be Jews are lying. God even warns his people about them:

Titus 1:14
“Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.”

Many of these lying Jews come with Jewish fables and follow after man-made traditions, not the commandments of God. And this has caused confusion all over the Earth. To this day, most of the world does not know who the true Jews are. Only few of us know.

However, one thing you can do to simplify your response is just post bible verses. For example, you can simply reference the bible verse by stating the chapter and verse.
