Two methods of biotechnology used by scientists are described below. Process A: Inserted a pesticide gene into a soybean Process B: Used plants and microorganisms to create a new biofuel Which process is likely to be more advantageous in conservation? (4 points) Process B because it will reduce our dependency on fossil fuels Process A because more food will increase the global population Process B because it will cause an increase in fossil fuel pollution Process A because it will increase the number of pests in the environment
We can eliminate option d because that is not an advantage. That is a disadvantage.
i think b but i not sure
what do you think
Well would an increase in population be more of an advantage towards conservation? What would be considered "conservation"
no a or c
cause it prevtion of waseful resource
I may be wrong but which would be more advantageous in conservation? increasing food for more population or reducing our dependency on fossil fuels?
a maybe
That is what I think is the answer. reducing fossil fuels means less Co2 in the air, and also results in us finding new ways besides fossil fuels meaning us being more conservative.
oh so a or c
b or c
not a
Why not a?
cause reducing fossil fuels
But won't reducing fossil fuels be more of a win in conserving?
oh
The question asks: Which process is likely to be more advantageous in conservation? Does this make sense now?
yea
now
it helping
Process B because it will reduce our dependency on fossil fuels is more advantegous in conservation because biofuels are produced by animals/plants matter and are renewable. This limits our dependency on fossil fuels, which aren't that great for the environment, and this results in more fossil fuels available due to the fact that we are using biofuels. Less fossil fuels used = conservation. understand?
thank you
