An artist is designing a kite like the one show below. Calculate the area to determine how much material she will need to create the kite. A kite with two top triangles with height of 6 inches and a base 8.5 inches. The bottom two triangles share the base but have a height labeled 13 inches.

Let's work with what we have. We have two triangles One with the height of 6 inches And the other with the height of 13 They both have the same base=8.5
Where are your answer choices?
^^^
36, 110.5, 161.5, and 323
So (1/2) base(13+6) (1/2)(8.5)(19)= 80.75 square inches But because this isn't one of your answer choices. Hm
