You want to use big words, but don't go overboard. Admission boards want the REAL you, not a thesaurus.

yeah it's like whenever I was in a younger grade my teachers always said why would you copy because when you copy we thank you can actually do this but you can't do it then you don't get to good, they want to know what you can actually do

Although when writing a colloge essay a higher level of grammar is preferred it doesn't necessarily mean that you have to use "big" words... As long as you stay focused on the topic and you don't drag on your examples to long then you will succeed...if you want more tips you can dm me

Another tip would be to avoid slang and avoid using "we" or "i think" unless the topic allows.
(Example would be "This I Believe" essays)

And grammarly will be your BEST friend here.

Also, adding onto this, if you plan on using large words, make sure you understand what they mean and how they should be used.
