I will admit that I have a problem, I am addicted to self harm. I am working on stopping but I don't know any good methods on how to. Have any ideas for what type of coping mechanisms I could try? :(

or just having that special someone in your life, like my fiancee has had some struggles in the past n stuff not gonna go into details but she was able to heal and to stop her stuff after a couple of months so yeah if u can find that person who completes u and is always there for you they can make a bigger impact on you than anykind of therapy

self harm, cut grass outside OR use a rubber band and hit yourself w it, OR use an icecube and keep it in your skin the 2nd options has the same type of pain

well i mean i have been through the system and i have seen just about anykind of struggle or situation that u can think of so im sorta an expert in this area do to the fact that i was arrested when i was 12 and got out when i was 15 and i went all over ohio, to all kinds of residentials foster homes jdc mental hospital like ive seen it all been through it all yk, and the stuff that helps ppl with self harm is just figuring out how to express there pain in other ways like ive seen some where they used art, journaling, expressing it verbally to someone, yk there are just so many other ways to express your pain and i understand that some ways work for some and for others it dont u just gotta test out all kinds of coping skills and find which one works best for you

Try fasting off of it immediately. The addiction gets worse if you do little by little. Also the mindset of "one aint gonna hurt" is not a good mindset because then it turns into that "well one more." then its gets worse. Use people as your coping if that works for you, If not just do something you love or get busy doing something to get your mind off that addiction. So eventually you wont really remember it. I used to have problems with acid and i did this, and i got better quite rapidly after i forgot about that "one more" mindset.
