SkilerLuke:

ok so what u are going to do is, u are going to go up 2 and u are going to put a point ok. Next what u are going to do is go up the same one and u are going to go up 4 and over 1 and then u are going to draw a line. Or is that not what u are supposed to do?

Its just i have to write a second equation for it and i am unsure on how to do that.

MiraAngel:

ohhhhhh wait! i may be able to help! U need help with c?

MiraAngel:

y=mx+b m is slope and b is y-intercept

MiraAngel:

You have two points... (0, 2) and (4, 1)

MiraAngel:

You find slope by doing (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) (x,y) (1-2)/(4-0) -1/4 Slope: -1/4

MiraAngel:

So now you need the y-intercept which is the value of y when x is 0. They gave you this with the point (0, 2) When x is 0, then y is 2 So the y intercept would be 2

MiraAngel:

y=mx+b y= -1/4x+2 Or y= -.25x+2 I would stick with the first one tho. I don't know which form they want. :) Good luck and let me know how things turn out! :)
