If newspapers had been printed monthly, rather than daily or weekly, then The Federalist Papers would have been less successful because it Wouldn't have reached as many people, and they wouldn't have been able to respond as quickly to criticism from the states-rights side of the debate.

my bad i copied the wrong thing In the American colonies, newspapers took second place to news gathered by social interaction because _____. the English governors banned all books and newspapers in an attempt to keep the colonists from saying anything unfavorable about them censorship by the English governors was common, meaning that newspapers were scarce or did not contain much information They did not. Newspapers actually became incredibly popular in 1690 with the printing of the first newspaper. Colonists most often got their news this way due to the English governors restricting their freedom to gather in public
Well the answer isnt a bc books were still being bought and sold and written~~~so out of b and c what do you think the answer is?
b
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @theresjajaja b \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) This answer choice is incorrect bc it says in the text example that newspapers were second most popu;ar way to attain info...so therefore if it isnt a or b then the answer must be c

Hm, i agree with eliminating option A, however i thought it was going to be option B here, rather than C. The reason for this is because while under the control of the British king before the colonies declared independence, the British government had attempted to prohibit certain comments about the British from the Americans. They did so by not allowing certain things, such as bashing Britain or the King, to be written in the newspapers. I will provide a link for you that back my statement as well so you can get more detail (: Pls close this when finished. https://www.history.com/topics/united-states-constitution/freedom-of-the-press#:~:text=Before%20the%20thirteen%20colonies%20declared,America%20took%20place%20in%201734.
