YEETIS:

Apple farmers are currently having a very difficult time with pesticide-resistant insects. These insects are no longer being killed by the current chemical treatments, thus causing a lot of damage to the apple crops. In reaction to this, researchers are developing newer and stronger chemicals to help control the bugs. Why are the apple farmers seeing these new, stronger bugs? A.The bugs were not native to the area and thus cannot be killed by normal chemicals. B.Changes in the weather have led to stronger insects that can survive these harsh changes. C.The strongest bugs were able to survive pesticides, reproduce and create more resistant pests. D.The apple trees are producing too many apples, which is allowing the insects to reproduce rapidly.

do you guys know the answer

just asking

Hoodmemes:

I'd say u wanna focus on these parts "pesticide-resistant insects" and "insects are no longer being killed by the current chemical treatments" So the new insect is (Immune) the the chemical the farmers tried to kill them with which is (Pesticides),as we all know "Insects" (Multiply) after time of them not being killed. Honestly we can cross off answer option A bc the passage talks nothing about the insect being for a native land,u can also cross off answer option D bc apples growing at a faster rate have nothing to do with insects reproducing at a faster rate, they are two different things. This leaves answer options B and C which do u think is correct and why?

YEETIS:

C because The strongest bugs were able to survive pesticides, reproduce and create more resistant pests.
