You are likely not able to message someone because they blocked you or they disabled their messages. You can check the people you've blocked on the Settings page under Notification Settings https://questioncove.com/settings#/notifiers

In the search bar for people i had the same problem. I couldn't dm people i searched for. If this is the problem and it is still going on let me know.
