so we have \[\frac{ 6 }{ -8 }\] so if they're equivalent, we need to have a fraction that is still gonna be 6/-8 option A and D are out because 8/6 and -8/6 are not the same as 6/-8. then from B and C, we need the value to still be negative 6/8.

so, if we have two negatives, they always a positive so is -6/-8 going to be equal to - 6/8 ? or is -6/8 equal? Just because they moved the negative sign from the bottom to the top, it doesn't change the value.
