Ok then what is the Philosophy of religion

nalaynana:

Philosophy of religion is the philosophical study of the meaning and nature of religion. It includes the analyses of religious concepts, beliefs, terms, arguments, and practices of religious adherents. The scope of much of the work done in philosophy of religion has been limited to the various theistic religions. You can find it here https://iep.utm.edu/religion/#:~:text=Philosophy%20of%20religion%20is%20the,to%20the%20various%20theistic%20religions.

@Hero he knows alot about religion

Floo:

Philosophy can either prove or disprove a religion or set of beliefs. Just as religion broadens the scope of philosophy. To some people religion is the base proves philosophy. What they do have in common is they both seek the truth. Even though that truth may be subjective. It can be the truth nonetheless. Unlike theology which is purely based of of spirituality, and belief in the unseen. A lot of people confuse theology and religion to be the same which is holistically incorrect. Now theology and psychotherapy is very much so compatible. Even though this is a heavily argued debate.

Floo:

Religion is the fundamentals most humans go by albeit many, but it is where a human derives their own moral anchorage if you will. Wrong vs right. Majority of religions preach peace, but some people choose to interpret them differently which causes chaos between peoples. Especially at a time like this where religion is used for political propaganda.

Floo:

Your third question is subjective. I'm Muslim, and I can claim God spoke to me. Or that I saw a holy being in my dreams, but like I said it's all subjective. A Sikh person or a Christian can claim the same thing.

Floo:

The word "miracle" is not a word you will usually find a scientist using. The word miracle means something that goes against the natural law of things. Some people believe them to be pure coincidence others view them as a sign God exists.

Floo:

Your last question is also subjective. It purely depends on what you believe. In religious groups souls just like God and angels exist. The unseen isnt a fairy tale if you believe in God. One cannot exist without the other. You either believe or you dont.
