@jhonyy9 do you can help ? - ty

jhonyy9:

so from these choices what you think what equation use exponent of 2 ? bc. one from these choice A and B so one than you look maybe growths like exponent of 2 what maybe this ? @Laylalyssa

hhanan:

number 1?

hhanan:

@jhonyy9 would number be correct

ScamTheMan:

Typically when representing an exponential functions, you'll have something like "t-1" as an exponent. Or just an exponent in general. Since we know this, we can take out two answer choices. This means that only choice A is a possible answer. Now that we know that the only possible answer choices are choice (b) and choice (d), we can analyze which one is correct. There are multiple methods of figuring out which of these two options are correct. I chose to use substitution. I substituted the value of the day in for T and tried to see if I would get the correct response. In the question it says that on January 4th, the total was $0.80. Time to test it out: \[(0.10)^4-1\] \[(0.10)^3\] \[0.001\] Clearly choice (b) is not the answer, so we can infer that choice (d) is the correct answer. We can also test this to see if it's true: \[(0.10)(2)^3\] \[(0.10)(8)\] \[0.80\] Choice (d) gives us the correct response, so it must be answer.

thank you
