hannahcj:

Jen has a newer car than Amelie, and it has One-third the miles of Amelie’s car. Amelie’s car has 45,000 miles. Which of the following equations model this situation? Select all that apply. 3(m) = 45,000 1/3 + m = 45,000 m = (1/3) (45,000) m = 3(45,000) m = 1/3 = 45,000

jkmiec26:

Okay so lets start with which ones u think it is. Which ones do u think?

hannahcj:

First I will tell you which one I think is WRONG! B because we are not adding

jkmiec26:

That's correct so that leaves A. C, and D. Only 2 are correct so which one do u think is wrong?

hannahcj:

And I don't think it is A either because we are trying to find how many miles Jen's car has. So in the equation after the = sign it should be m not 45,000. I believe!

jkmiec26:

No A is one of the right responses. So C or D is wrong.

hannahcj:

There's 5 answers

hannahcj:

There is 5 ones you can pick I mean

jkmiec26:

So C, D, or F are wrong. But A is right. So which one out of the three do u think is right?

hannahcj:

A, B, C, D, E you can choose out of those. By F do you mean E? I am confused!

hannahcj:

I am not sure if you are getting it?

jkmiec26:

yah I mean E and I am I'm juss confusing up ma letters

jkmiec26:

Sorry I cant give direct answers

hannahcj:

Yes I know! So your saying out of A, B, C, D, E that C, D, F are wrong

hannahcj:

C, D, E I mean

jkmiec26:

So u have A. We know B is wrong. So now u have C, D, E.

hannahcj:

Okay so I have to see out of C, D, and E which one is the answer and A is already one of them?

jkmiec26:

which one do u think out of C, D, and E is right?

hannahcj:

C I don't know

jkmiec26:

Yes its A and C

hannahcj:

Yup!!!

hannahcj:

Gave you a medal for confusing me!

jkmiec26:

Sorry

hannahcj:

I'm just kidding!! Thanks for your help!!

jkmiec26:
