How was life for women and children in the Roman Republic different from life for women and children today?

Well women had to clean and do chores while children stay in the house the with the mother. basically women did have much privileges as men as they do today

Bck then: Unlike men, women were expected to stay at home every day so they could complete the chores around the house and watch the children while their husbands were at work. Very few women were allowed to hold jobs such as being a teacher or doctor. Women with wealthy husbands lived differently from those with poor husbands.



Now: Women most often are the ones who adjust their schedules and make ... best for women themselves, the public expressed a similar sentiment. In their work life to care for a child or other family member.

Roman stuff i remember:


Women in the Roman Republic stayed at home,cleaned the house,did chores,and take care of the children be a shadow of the man (Their husband),I don't even think they were allowed to even have a paying job back then.


Not so many girls were allowed a education they were told to stay at hope and learn how to do the work of the wife clean,cook,do chores,and learn how to sew.They also had to listen to there parents no matter what or punishments were served.Boys got educations though etc

But I also think the things that impacted a women and childs daily life were of their family was rich of not like if a child girl was in a rich family she prolly got a education learned how to read and write etc,not rick u prolly didnt get a chance to read a write no education at all.
