Question

Hey guys.. This is a poem I wrote about my girlfriend... Tell me what ya'll think. I just needed to share this with someone and I'd appreciate any feedback ya'll have for me. Thank you.

I don't know if we're meant to be.
I don't know if I still love you.

You make everything about yourself...
When I'm sad you're the last person to care.
The small moments when you do ask what's wrong, you turn it into your own problems.
Why YOUR life is bad.
Why YOU feel like breaking down and crying sometimes.
Why YOU sometimes feel like you can't live with the pain anymore.. 😞

I-I remember when we first met...
You complimented my taste in music.
And said my teal shirt looked good on me.
You said you liked my personality...
I laughed and asked you if you wanted to get lunch with me sometime.
You smiled at me and said of course "of course I will cutie" and gave me a big hug.
I smiled so hard that day.

It hurts thinking about that day...

Now when you tell me you love me.
It's- just hard for me to believe...
You'd rather spend time with your best friend than me.
You'd rather talk to all your other friends than me.

When you tell me you miss me,
Is it true?
When you tell me you care about me,
Is it true?
Is there another guy in the picture?
Your best friend...
I remember when I caught him in your room.
"We were just doing homework babe chill"

If I am supposed to be able to believe you love me,
How come it's so hard for me too..? 😭

Wow, I am unsure if this even is a poem, If you were to continue writing more on it it would be a perfect song. I mean O-O Geez, I can't grasp the fact of emotion that was put into this.

And I thank everyone else that reads this...You don't know what that means to me to be able to have my voice heard, these last months I've been hiding my feelings from her and believing her and hiding my feelings from everyone else and it's just been eating me up inside, you know? And I don't know, I'm just glad I finally got that all off my chest.

It's alright I got some good advice from a user on here and it's one of the reasons I shared this with you guys. In the long run though I think I'll be fine, it may take a while but I'll get there. Ty @Astrid1 for all your help, I really do appreciate it <3

I think it is emotional and if your girlfriend saw that, it would break her, as if I was in her shoes it would break me, I mean good stuff saying what is in your heart. She would also probably breakup with you for that poem especially writing it online where total complete strangers can see it.

The only way to feel better is to be straight up. Tell her how you feel. Don´t be scared. Maybe she doesn´t notice what she is doing. But if you tell her she might change. If she doesn´t change then end that toxic relationship. The only way you will find out is if you tell her. You have to tell people the way you feel.

Well she kinda actually saw this and asked me about it today...
I told her it was the way I felt and she broke down crying and told me she was sorry and didn't even realize she was doing it and she wanted to be there for me from now on she wants to "be there for me as much as I am for her"
She also saw the comments and said she was scared I would break up with her.
She told me she would stop talking to her best friend if it made me happy.
I told her I would appreciate that and she looked at me in my eyes and she said "you know I would do anything for you right?"
I just paused and looked at her back and I cried for the 1st time in forever, happy tears. And well we hugged for what felt like forever, but it was all over too soon 😂
And it well.. jump started my brain as too why I fell in love with her for her.
So I think that for now, we'll be fine and she's the person I think I'll spend my future with <3
As to all of you guys I thank you for helping me through yesterday and I appreciate all that you guys have done for me.
I love you all, but never more than my girlfriend who I hope I'll be with for the rest of my life and my future wife <333
