voltapebble:

Which answer choice shows the correct capitalization for the following sentence? My teacher said, “surprisingly, Ayers Rock is the largest single rock formation in the world.” a) My Teacher said, “surprisingly, Ayers Rock is the largest single rock formation in the world.” b) My teacher said, “Surprisingly, Ayers Rock is the largest single rock formation in the world.” c) My teacher said, “Surprisingly, Ayers rock is the largest single rock formation in the world.” d) My teacher said, “surprisingly, Ayers Rock is the largest single rock formation in the World.”

Downpour17:

What did you get for this?

WendyMorales2007:

A wouldn't work because teacher is not a proper noun so it shouldn't be capitalized.

voltapebble:

I think it is either B or C

Downpour17:

Okay good. It's not A, or D. So that leave B or C. Which do you think is the most reasonable?

voltapebble:

I think B because Rock in Ayers Rock is capitalized

Downpour17:

That's correct. Good job.
