Ok, Mental Health question. Does popping your knuckles/any joints count as self harm? Because I pop my knuckles when I get a anxiety attack or really anxious.

sak123:

yes

kenken:

not really because it helps most people calm down

UNO11034:

I know it helps but I also know that popping joints isn't very good for you.

sak123:

when you pop your Knuckles when you get older, the Knuckles you popped start to hurt

sak123:

@UNO11034

kenken:

i tried im the only one who .. nvm

UNO11034:

Thanks I just wanted to know because I'm trying to get rid of self harming because of depression ans anxiety

sak123:

ok glad to help

Isry:

Popping joints is a placebo effect if anything. It doesn’t really do anything to relive pressure. There are far worse ways to cope with anxiety than to do that.

katalina:

idk

Laura16:

Lol kitty

MiraAngel:

Popping knuckles is not the best thing to do. As you grow older your joints will start to hurt... but yet again, they will probably hurt anyways. I don't think you are in any way, harming your body too much. My father is a chiropractor and knows about this type of stuff. He doesn't really think popping your knuckles will harm you. ....Also, have you tried popping your shoulders? ... if not don't try but I mean, its pretty cool too. lol .-. Have a good day
