Ok first you have to verify your gmail by clicking the PFP and then you go to your gmail and click the link to verify you account after that you click the pfp again and pick the picture that you want

Welcome to QC!! First off. We're gonna have to verify your email, which ofc you have to go to email- Then you see "verify your email" click that and it might just work. e,e

Make sure you have a valid email.
Then send the verification link.
Check in junk and spam folders 
Search for an email from qc
There are further instructions inside of that email!
After ur email has been verified you can save a file to ur computer that u want as ur pfp
Then come on qc, click the dolphin at the top right corner 
Choose the file you saved and click (choose) after that u should have a pfp

Anyways, welcome to QuestionCove! Usually most school emails don't accept any emails other than what it's for, school. Are you able to compose an email to anyone outside of your school using your school email?

Maybe that is why but some people can use their school gmail for this and some cannot the reason is because of the schools that have blocked them
