Sheridan is correct about the missing side being 10.95cm. Explanation on why he is correct: Sheridan correctly applied the Pythagorean theorem \(a^{2}\) + \(b^{2}\) = \(c^{2}\) , where a and b are the legs of a right triangle with c as the hypotenuse. 7cm is used to replaced with leg a in the theorem because the 7cm side meets at the 90° angle with the missing side they are both legs. 13cm is used to replace c asthe hypotenuse in the theorem because the 13cm side is longest side, opposite of the right angle.
I don't think i have the explanation quite down but if I add more it might be to much.
