Ok for his u need to get rid of the -10 So u add 10 to both sides like -10 + 10 and 14 + 10 Which cancels out the -10 and ur stuck with -6y = 24 So to get the variable (y) by its self u do the opposite of what the -6 is doing So u divide -6 from both sides like -6/-6 and 24/-6 So the -6 cancels out and ur left with 24/-6 so then u jus simplify and u will get -4 So x = -4 So yes your correct
