I look up from the sky to see your sad and teary eyes,
You look away from me and I see theres something in your eyes,
There's something you're trying to hide,
And I reach for your hand but it's hot, you pull away again and again,
And I wonder what's on your mind,
And then you say to me you made a dumb choice,
You start to tremble and your voice begins to tear,
You say the cigarettes on the counter weren't your brother's,
They were my roommates,
And I feel the color draining from my face,
And my brother said,
I know you love her,
but it's over, mate
It doesn't matter,
put the laptop away,
It's never easy to run away,
let her go,
It'll be alright
So I asked to look back at all the messages you'd sent yesterday,
And I know it wasn't alright,
but it was messing with my head,
And everything deleted like the past,
And when I touched your hands,
I could tell you're moving on.
