Rewrite the following paragraph, connecting subject/ verb agreement. Can anyone give me a hint about it. MY family enjoy Scuba-diving, so nearly every vacation, we goes on a diving trip. We has noticed that there is three completely different types of divers. We call them the “nature lovers”, “the pool guys”, and the “seals”. The people who we calls “nature lovers” enjoys getting in the water for a short swim to look at rocks, seaweed and underwater creatures that is swimming around. The “pool guys”, who wears the latest hi-tech equipment, comes for a short time to have a swim and test how good their equipments is. The “seals”, who wears only their swimsuits, dive into the water and disappears for what seem like hours. Each of diver types enjoys the ocean in a different way. The “nature lovers” is the one who enjoy snorkeling around for brief periods of time. They always try to has a minimal impact on the environment. For example, their trash, or garbage, is always taken out. Taking rocks and shells is something they would never do. They are there to see, but not spoil the beauty of nature that are under water. The “pool guys” is the divers who want to go to the beach, or ocean without ever actually leaving their backyard. They comes in sports utility vehicles, carrying brightly colored wet suits, and the latest in diving masks, fins, and air tanks. They are the ones who is so covered with equipment. They can hardly see, feel and touch the underwater environment.
So, What exactly do you need help with on this question?
ok so you have to figure most of these out yourself, but, i'd be happy to check your work. So, you first have to know what `subject-verb agreement`is. So it means what it says, the form of the verb must match the form of the subject. For example. `The dog (chase/ chases) the cat`. Now if we have ONE dog, it `chases`, whereas if we have numerous dogs, they `chase`. Since that may be confusing for you, let's look at the first example in your question. Read the sentence MY family enjoy Scuba-diving, so nearly every vacation, we goes on a diving trip. now, from the start, there is a grammatical error. the whole `my family enjoy Scuba-diving` isn't correct. When one person likes something, we say they enjoy but since this is a family (plural) it's written as my family enjoys scuba-diving hopefully this makes sense. I can help you with the rest once you do them (:
