i have already answered this, but the form is \[f(x)=a(b)^x\] if the b is GREATER than 1, it's a growth-- b>1 if b is LESS than 1, it's a decay-- 0<b<1 so if b is a fraction (or decimal less than 1) it's a decay if b is a whole number greater than 1 or a decimal greater than 1 (ex. 1.25) it's a growth
