teal009:

A train travels at a constant speed of 35 mi/h. How long does it take the train to travel 490 mi?

FormulaDrift:

14 hours. If the train travels at 35 mph, and it travels 490 miles, just divide 490 by 35

XioGonz:

And you get your answer by dividing 35 by 490

jhonyy9:

use the rule of 3 simple and write 35 miles in 1 hour 490 miles in x hours cross multiplie and calcule the x value x = (490*1)/35 = 490/35 = ? hours
