Why isn't pluto considered a planet?

MxxnLight:

umbaba5:

cuz carti never got to go to pluto

sxdsouls:

Answer. The International Astronomical Union (IAU) downgraded the status of Pluto to that of a dwarf planet because it did not meet the three criteria the IAU uses to define a full-sized planet. Essentially Pluto meets all the criteria except one—it “has not cleared its neighboring region of other objects.” https://www.google.com/search?q=why+isn%27t+pluto+considered+a+planet&rlz=1CATAVM_enUS914&oq=why+isnt+pluto+con&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0i10l3j0i390l4.3937j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&safe=active&ssui=on -Google 🕳️🚶🤺🤺

XioGonz:

Pluto WAS at one point considered to be a planet because it was unusually large but after it shrunk it was demoted to being a dwarf planet.

DK4L:

oooooh K

Brittlynn1019:

Because life is full of disappointments. And it was a planet but it was too small and now it is a Dwarf planet
